Visiting & Cooperative Students
Visiting students include the following:
- Co-op or intern students placed at Fox Valley area companies
- Students from other engineering programs wishing to take a class
- Professionals from business/industry taking a class for professional development
Please use the following checklist to assist in registration and setting up other course related needs. Failure to do so will impact having computer network access, a parking permit and UW-Platteville email, PeopleSoft, and course management (D2L) access. (Checklist - .pdf format)
Admission and Registration
Individuals wanting to take a UW-Platteville Engineering course at UW-Fox Valley should first contact the Fox Valley Engineering Program Office at 920/832-2854 or email foxplattegr@uwc.edu. A program advisor will assist you in the application and/or registration process.
Credit for co-op experience
Co-op credit Students needing full time status for insurance purposes should enroll in co-op for credit. You must contact the co-op office for information about enrolling in co-op.
Consultation with your advisor
Students currently enrolled in courses on the UW-Platteville main campus should review the course choice with a faculty advisor or department chair. Those enrolled in non-UW-Platteville engineering programs should also confirm course transferability using TIS (http://www.uwsa.edu/tis/) and/or consulting with an advisor at your home campus.
UW-Fox Valley Network Access
Visiting students must request network access to be able to login to computers on the UW-Fox Valley campus and engineering classrooms. Please fill out the Visiting / Co-op Student Info Form and review the UWC Computing and Network Usage Policy.
