Deleting An
Email Message
Important
areas will be highlighted with the Blue Chips .
- To delete an email
message, select the message and then click on the X button from
the toolbar.

- To delete adjacent email
messages, click the first item, and then hold down SHIFT and
click the last item. Click on the X button from the toolbar.

- To select nonadjacent
items, click the first item, and then hold down CTRL key and
click additional items. Click on the X button from the toolbar.

- To select all items, go to
Edit menu, and then click Select All. Click on the X
button from the toolbar.

- All the deleted messages
are kept in the Deleted Items folder. The messages in the Deleted
Items folder take up your server spaces and the messages won't be
permanently deleted unless you have specified it in the Options menu.

- To delete the messages
upon you exit Outlook, you should go to the Tools menu >>
Options, and then click the Other tab. Select the Empty
the Deleted Items folder upon exiting check box. To be notified
before you empty the Deleted Items folder, click Advanced
Options, and then select the Warn before permanently deleting items
check box. Click OK buttons when you are done.
